Sash Window Upgrade Service

After years of redecoration and layers of paint build-up, or neglect, your sash windows can begin to stick, rattle and let in draughts.

The Conservation Joinery Upgrade Service will return your sash windows to full working order.

  • Adjustments are made to ensure there is a 3mm gap between the upper sash and parting beads
  • Draught proofing is fitted into parting beads and the new staff beads
  • The mid-rail of the lower sash is routed to the profile of the draught proofing system
  • Both sashes are re-hung and checked to ensure ease of sliding and correct balance
  • New staff beads are mitred and fitted by pinning
  • All bare wood is painted with a white acrylic primer/undercoat

All work done (overhaul and upgrade) is carried out inside the property and all affected areas are covered by dust sheets and thoroughly cleaned once work has been finished.
