More than just a link to people we do business with, this page shows some of the things we support, both as a company and as individuals.
Ray is a Scout Leader with 1st S.W.C Scout Troop in Crewe Cheshire.
Conservation Joinery sponsors a local mid week 20/20 cricket league "D.S &T.E Cricket Club"
As we work with wood, obviously we produce lots of wood shavings. These don't go to waste, but go to be used as bedding for Dolly and Spangles:
Once they have been used for bedding in this way, they can be simply fed back into the ground to rot away naturally.
As a former army man himself, Ray is keen to support the Help for Heroes charity. You can visit the site by clicking the logo, or you can go to give a donation here:
Early in 2009 Ray sponsored Andrew Edwards with cash and cross-country training for a fund-raising trek to Brazil in aid of Unicef. You can read about the trek here and make a donation here.
With his wife Edna, Crickleigh House B&B is run by our North Wales Branch manager Phil.
Located at the heart of the town, Crickleigh House B&B is an imposing Victorian building tastefully and thoughtfully modified to create very comfortable, modern accommodation whilst retaining all the character of a bygone age. Due to its central location all of the many facilities Llandudno has to offer are within comfortable walking distance. The bed and breakfast deals include a full english cooked breakfast or vegetarian options as required. The bedrooms are en-suite and are equipped to a high standard throughout. The house is generously proportioned and extremely well kept ensuring your stay will be as comfortable as possible.
Our recommended sash window decorator operating in North Wales, Chester, Nantwich: Contact John Metcalf Tel 07751342173 e-mail beejjohn@hotmail.com Ask John if he operates in your area and for a free no obligation quote - mention that you heard of him through Conservation Joinery.
We recently received the following letter from a very satisfied client who was clearly very happy with John's work:
I am writing to thank you for the very fine job you did for us on our windows in late August 2009. Ray at Conservation Joinery and his chaps refurbished them very well, and I must admit I was worrying that when they were painted, the sash windows might not be so easy to move as before painting. I should have had more faith in your expertise and abilities! Our windows now look beautiful and move with ease. The paintwork looks superb and many visitors have commented on them. The front door is also looking good - the finish is very shiny and the colour suits us well - thanks for your advice on this. In addition to your expertise as a painter, please can I take this opportunity to thank you for project managing the job on our house so carefully. Your organisation of the 'cherry picker' and the replacement wood for our top panels was very much appreciated. You worked quickly, efficiently and without us really knowing you were there, unless we managed to convince you to have a coffee with us. We really enjoyed having you at our house - we felt at ease and comfortable with you and confident in your approach to the work. You were also scrupulously clean throughout the job, and finished off by really giving our windows a thorough cleaning. I know I happened to be in hospital this day but when I came home a week later they were still looking just lovely. So, thank you very much for the fabulous job on our windows. As you know, we are keen to have you back to take on another painting job with us, when you are free. If you require any recommendations or references for your work, please do not hesitate to either use this mail or pass on our names to people. Our windows would act as a good showcase of your decorating abilities and, where possible, we are happy to offer this service for you (and Conservation Joinery). Take care and do let us know when your schedule allows you to take on that internal doors job for us (not urgent, as you know). Bev S. Nantwich

ABC Models has earned a link on my web site for his support in running a model workshop for my scout troop this year. Paul Brickles and Catherine Prasad generously gave their time free of charge teaching the girls and boys the art of plastic model making in four sessions in the workshop above his shop. Paul is a firm believer in keeping practical skills alive so if you or your children are bored and are fed up of sitting in front of the T.V visit Paul's shop on 82 Nantwich Road, Crewe, Cheshire or visit his web site http://www.abcmodelsport.co.uk/. This summer I have spent quality time with my son helping him build a plastic model soon to be completed. He already has one of his completed models on display in one of ABC Models show cases amongst other models made by other model clubs. Get down there and see the great range of stock or see the amazing quality of the built items on display.
Ray Johnston is a proud member of Crewe Golf Club which is a hidden gem in Cheshire. Crewe golf club welcome visitors or societies and follow the link to visit the web site and enquire about tee time availabilities.
Viv Sherriffs at Netspan has re-built and improved my web site for the last 8 years. Recently he has again rebuilt and improved my new web site. He has done this with close consultation and patience and has in my view done an excellent job and I hope you have enjoyed looking through my site and have maybe enquired about our service. Viv's service does not stop there he gives ongoing service support and hosting for a very reasonable annual fee compared to the big rip off companies out there charging extortionate rates which is unaffordable to small businesses. If you have a web site and you feel you need change or improvement give Viv Sherriffs a call. If you wish to speak or e mail me personally for a reference please do.
