The firm was founded in 1999 by Ray Johnston, a craftsman with 9 years' experience behind him in sash window refurbishment.

"There was a need in the sash window market for an independent
refurbishment business that gives a high quality service at
reasonable prices. All materials are carefully sourced to ensure quality is maintained at competitive prices. Having a fully competent and trustworthy
work force is essential both because of the skills required and for your peace of mind. Refurbishing sash windows is a skilled and demanding task. Restoring the windows to full working
order is the priority and there is no time limit on how long
the installers take to refurbish a window. They complete each
job and clean up after themselves. All of our Craftsmen are
approachable and will take time to explain any queries about
the work involved in renovating your sash windows."
If you are interested in restoring your sash windows to
their original standard or replacing them - then simply complete the
contact response form and Ray Johnston will be in touch to

survey within our operating areas.

David Welch: I have worked with Conservation Joinery
since 2002. Most of my working life I have spent as a skilled joiner. I started at a local joinery
company many years ago and spent 25 years at Rolls Royce,
several of those in the woodwork veneer shop.
Dave enjoys woodturning and staying at his holiday caravan
in Mid-Wales.

Richard: Richard is an Ex Royal engineer and joined us in 2007. He enjoys playing the guitar in his spare time.

Lee has been with us part time from 2006 and has just completed his NVQ 2 painter and decorating course. Lee has been mostly workshop based priming and undercoating new windows. He now is progresssing on to a two year joinery course and will remain with us part time for that period.

Toby Webb: Toby our bench joiner joined us in 2008.
Toby likes to travel and restores classic cars as a hobby.
